Frequently asked questions

Can't find your question here? Add it in the form above and I'll answer it along with the quote.

  • No. I send the quote by email and you can go through it at your own pace. If you want to clarify something afterwards, or simply talk it through, there's a calendar link at the bottom of my reply.

  • Accurate enough to make a decision. At this stage I give a range, because some things only become clear once we define the scope. Once the scope is set, the price is fixed and holds until the end of the project.

  • Included: strategy, structure, UX, design, build, launch and three months of support afterwards. I do all of it myself, so you work directly with me throughout. After those three months I can look after the site on an ongoing basis as a monthly retainer, priced separately and only if you want it.

  • Put down what you actually have, or pick “not sure”. Sometimes there's a smaller version of the project that still makes sense and still delivers. Sometimes there isn't, and I'll tell you that directly, along with what I'd do instead in your position.

  • It depends on the scale of the project. A landing page usually takes 2–3 weeks, a website 4–6, a store 5–8. I take on two projects a month, so the start is normally 2–4 weeks after you get in touch. I give you the exact date with the quote.

  • First, a picture of the business: what you sell, who buys it, what the site has to deliver and where the traffic will come from. After that it helps to have access to your analytics, whatever you already know about your customers, and one person on your side who can make decisions. It'll take about two hours of your time across the whole project: a call at the start and two rounds of feedback on the design.
